"It would be great to come together to remember why we all feel so passionate about what we do and the difference it makes."
A year is a long time in social enterprise. 2011 was a year of public sector cuts, research on the state of social enterprise and a injection of cash into the sector with Big Society Capital.
The Social Enterprise Spotlight project launched at the end of 2010 and helped 8 social entrepreneurs share the experiences, successes and challenges of their social enterprises over the course of a year.
The RSA Social Entrepreneurs Network and Hub Westminster would like to invite you to celebrate the stories, joys and tribulations of these organisations - and we want hear about yours as well.
With an estimated 62,000 social enterprises in the UK, there are plenty of people working on the ground and as one of the Spotlight participants, Chris James FRSA from Inspired Youth states, "It would be great to come together to remember why we all feel so passionate about what we do and the difference it makes."
The event will be held on Wednesday 7th March, 6-9pm at Hub Westminster on Haymarket. This event is kindly co-sponsored by the Hub Westminster and on the night you will get to see this innovative new space, which opened in Autumn 2011.
As well as hearing tales of social enterprise and networking with like-minded people, we will be joined by members of RSA SkillsBank as well as those in the Social Entrepreneurs Network. If you want to use your skills to help and support the many social enterprises out there, this could be your chance to meet those who could benefit from them!
